Apple TV+ has just dropped the first trailer for its new Spike Jonze-directed Beastie Boys documentary. Titled Beastie Boys Story, the movie will land on Apple TV+ and select IMAX theatres in April.

Written by Spike Jonze and Beastie Boys surviving members Mike "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, the documentary will be largely based on the hip-hop group's 2018 memoir, Beastie Boys Book.

Coming around the 26th anniversary of the Beastie Boys album Ill Communication, the movie will reportedly focus on the group's legacy and history through the members' personal recollections.

This isn't the first time Spike Jonze works with the Beastie Boys, as he directed the music video for their 1994 hit "Sabotage." Beastie Boys Story will hit select IMAX theaters on April 3, before landing on Apple TV+ on April 24.
