Today, everyone is nomadic because everywhere is accessible. But it doesn’t matter how much you travel, what matters is that you actually did and what you experienced. Because the things you learn and the people that you meet are just as important as where you are coming from and where you’re going.

If there’s a guy who gets this, it's BBC Radio 1 DJ Benji B. Whether he's presenting his weekly late night slot sending everything from chilled RnB vibes to real roadman grime out across the nation, or playing in front of a rooftop crowd from around the world, he knows how little distance matters, but how the difference in people matters.

What it means to be one of these people, a global nomad, in 2016 is what adidas wanted to investigate with their latest series of films. With the international music scene as backdrop and soundtrack, adidas tracked Benji B's journey from landing in New York to his final party on the roof of the city, all while kitted out in the new uniform of the international citizen: his new reflective NMD_R1 "Core Black/White" sneakers, a solid pair of simple black jeans, and a plain black tee – this one reppin' Deviation, the London club night he co-runs with Judah.

Released August 18, the new adidas NMD_R1 Reflective monochrome pack debuts a crisper NMD silhouette, with Japanese writing on the heel tab. This combines with the ventilated side panel and cage overlay, all sitting atop adidas’ super comfy BOOST midsole.
