Originally designed in the ’20s by René Lacoste as a sportier alternative to the classic button-down shirt, the polo shirt has been a spring staple in menswear for quite some time. Though brands such as Lacoste and Fred Perry have long been providing classic polos, streetwear and luxury labels alike are now releasing more contemporary designs for the fashion-forward crowds.
SS19 sees fashion brands such as Tibi and Daniel W. Fletcher offering see-through mesh and bowling-inspired versions, respectively.
