What We’re Saying: Slip-on footwear has seemingly never been more popular. As your favorite brands continue to transform their flagship models, labels like Italy's CASBIA are updating and issuing new colorways of previously-introduced silhouettes.

This summer, we find the HAMMERHEAD style being offered in varying heights and schemes, although for us, the focus remains on the slip-on version, which is essentially part moccasin and part mule. Born in 2018, the HAMMERHEAD is known for its distinctive look and premium construction from Kudu antelope leather, a primitive material characterized by its lightness and durability.

Whether slip-on, lace-up, or mid-top, each style is hand-built using tubular construction where the leather upper replaces the insole as it turns under the sole of the foot. Falling in line with the design technique, side laces are handwoven on the silhouette, serving as the HAMMERHEAD's most distinctive element. The lace-up and mid versions of the shoe then incorporate neoprene on the upper as well, in addition to a signature logo patch on the heel.

Priced from $379 for the slip-on to $391 for the lace-up and $403 for the mid-top, you can find the all-new HAMMERHEAD colorways available now through CASBIA.com.
