Marketed under the moniker of “Protect Your Icon,” the Converse x One Block Down release has built off the sneaker’s original 1970s design, deliberately nuancing its form with a hand-brushed resin finish. The resulting product is a sneaker that is emblematic of the idea of “timelessness,” and opens up a dialogue between industrial production methods and conceptual design.

Representing the radicalization of cultural symbols, the “Protect Your Icon” pack will be available in two classic Chuck Taylor colorways of black and parchment.
