Vaquera’s Quirky Lil' Converse Heels Are Part Skate Shoe
Never lose your whimsy, Vaquera. Otherwise, we wouldn't get great Converse collabs like these silly little sneaker-heels.
Yes, the New York label has remixed Converse's archival skate shoe into a sporty-chic kitten heel, and renamed it the VX-1. Basically, Vaquera turned a skate shoe into a vixen.
It strikes the perfect balance between baddie and performance. We got the trendy kitten heel, yes. But above the soles, Vaquera basically lets the skate shoe do its thing. It keeps the model's chunky suede upper, phat-sized tongue, and even the board-ready gum rubber soles.
Vaquera first revealed the VX-1 heels in March during its Fall/Winter 2026 presentation. Now, the time has finally come for its latest hybrid shoe. The heels will launch in black and grey colorways on October 27 on Nike's website. The collab will retail for $250.
First, Vaquera gave us baggy Chuck Taylor sneaker wedges. Then, it put kisses all over Nike's most advanced Air Max. Now, it's dropping skate kitten heels. What's next? A heeled Converse mule?
Converse Japan may have already done that, but Vaquera's effort would certainly, as the kids might say, eat.
