Daniel Arsham Crystallizes the Classic New York Yankees Cap
Following the launch of his limited edition Hourglass Blue sculpture, Daniel Arsham announces that his next piece will be releasing in a matter of days. The eight-inch by five-inch CRYSTAL RELIC 001 is due out this Friday, April 5.
Weighing in at three pounds, the sculpture mimics the classic New York Yankees fitted cap, one of the most popular hats in the world. According to Arsham, the piece took two years to develop, as it is inspired by 18th century archeological objects made of crystal.
The CRYSTAL RELIC 001 comes packaged with a metal identification card, die-cut foam enclosure, sealing label and a pair of white art handling gloves, complete with a holographic label verifying the authenticity and edition number.
Limited to 500 pieces, the CRYSTAL RELIC 001 releases through Daniel Arsham's online store on April 5 at noon EST.
