Following 2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Warner Bros. has now released the official teaser trailer of its upcoming sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Consisting as the second of five all-new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, the film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamandar alongside returning stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller.
Directed by David Yates, the film's sees Scamander and Albus Dumbledore (played by Jude Law) take on the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp). The official synopsis shares, "At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings."
Other notable cast include Claudia Kim, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, and Jude Law as Dumbledore.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will hit theaters on Friday, November 16.
