It’s no secret that Hiroshi Fujiwara was tapped alongside Virgil Abloh to work on his own “The Ten” Nike collaboration. For unknown reasons, Fujiwara’s ten collaborative sneakers never made it past sample stage, while Abloh’s became the benchmark for all future sneaker collaborations and drastically changed how designs approached sneaker collabs.

Still, that hasn’t stopped Fujiwara from drip-feeding us information about and looks at some of his “The Ten” designs, such as the Nike Air Max 1 above. This pair features a grey suede upper with a black leather mudguard and embroidered mini Swoosh. The traditional lacing has been replaced with what appears to be hiking-inspired lacing, while the Air Max 1’s tooling remains intact.

Check out more shots of Fujiwara’s collaborative Air Max 1 below.
