Germany might not be known as a fashion hub, but it’s slowly carving its own space in the scene under the lead of up-and-coming designers. In the last couple of years, independent brands like NO/FAITH STUDIOS, or Konundrum® have put Germany on every fashion enthusiast’s radar. Next up? Gerrit Jacob.

The Hamburg-born designer's sudden recognition doesn’t come as a shock. After his master's degree at the prestigious fashion school Central Saint Martins, Jacob gained work experience from fashion houses like Martine Rose, Balenciaga, and Gucci. After launching his label in 2021, the 29-year-old designer's success has rocketed to see his label dress A-list celebrities such as Rosalía and Dua Lipa.

In the short but successful journey of our 2022 BERLIN, BERLIN Prize winner, he’s taken inspiration from his hometown's annual fun fair events, where bright colorways and airbrushed stalls are the main attraction. Gerrit Jacob’s signature graphics, air-brush techniques, and distorted silhouettes epitomize his youthful and vibrant aesthetic.

Below, we’ve rounded up our top picks of Gerrit Jacob's SS23 collection for you to add some freshness to your wardrobe.
