Fresh off the high-tops that stomped down the Fall-Winter runway, GIVENCHY’s Jaw sneaker is back in a low-top iteration for Spring — and ready to go from casting call to closeup. Behind the scenes of the silver screen is a fitting place for Clare Waight Keller’s urban sneaker given its cinematic influences, which is why a dream casting for the biggest production of the year was a fitting space to show off the sneaker in our exclusive shoot.

Establishing itself within fashion’s chunky-soled love affair, the styling on GIVENCHY’s signature shoe found inspiration in everything from track shoes of the ‘60s to the high-tech sneakers of the ‘90s. But rather than sliding into the School of Roughed Up Dad Sneakers that have overtaken the industry, the Jaw sidestepped all that with a mix of suede, neoprene, and lux calf leather to become the sort of high-end shoe you’d find on set of the most fashionable dystopia of all time; or at least the sneaker of choice to move the watercooler conversation away from a grueling debate about the health benefits of moon milk.

Alongside its original utilitarian all-black and all-white colorways, the French luxury brand also gave a technicolor punch to its low-top Jaw with a handful of double and triple color combinations. Among the duo-toned varieties, the shoe also dropped with two blockbuster-worthy color trios: black, white, and red or a final colorway in shades of blue and purple that blended seamlessly with the designer’s more vibrant Spring Summer garments.
