Phipps has been a standout label of 2021 in our books. The LA imprint, headed up by Spencer Phipps has ridden the wave of outdoor hype, most of the time setting the pace with its more traditional take on the style which blends elements of workwear. And, to cement its name in our 2021 diaries, the brand has teamed up with British heritage label Grenson to end the year with a bang. The Grenson x Phipps Sh*tkickers are, quite possibly, the strongest boots of the season.

Made in the United Kingdom, the Grenson x Phipps Sh*tkickers boots are not only visually arresting but also crafted to perfection. Knee-high leather uppers are polished to reflective levels with a tonal suede cuff for comfort as well as a quick-lacing system which is more than necessary. Without it, you’d probably need some sort of lubricant to get your foot (leg) in.

They’re more than just a pair of knee-high leather boots, though. Subtle touches like modern hiking rope laces and ruggedly cut, contrasting panels to the outer calf area imbue the pair with a unique edge that feels mix-and-match: part dystopian future, and part British heritage.
