Li-Ning has officially confirmed that Jimmy Butler has signed a sneaker deal with the company, becoming the brand’s latest addition to its growing basketball roster. The official news comes less than two weeks after ESPN’s Nick DePaula broke the story on Twitter.

Li-Ning posted a welcome message on its hoops Instagram account, which Butler reposted on his story. Butler had been the highest-profile sneaker free agent in the NBA earlier this year and represents somewhat of a coup for Li-Ning, having led his Miami Heat team to the NBA Finals this season, eventually losing against the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers.

While no concrete financial information has been leaked regarding the deal, it is believed to be a significant multi-year partnership that makes Butler the face of the brand. Li-Ning had previously signed former Heat star and three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade to a lifetime deal.
