Nike’s Halloween Air Jordans Are the Calmest Spooky Flex
Nike has skipped right over fall and gone straight into spooky season, as evidenced by the all-new "Halloween" Air Jordan 5s.
There have been talks of these Jordans for a while now. But the official images of the shoe are now here. And I must say: they're not as spooky as I expected. Still nice-looking, though.
The Jordan 5s appear with velvety black uppers plus Air soles with red "shark teeth" and icy finishes (very "White Fire Red"-coded bottoms, by the way). The sneakers also feature glow-in-the-dark branding moments.
Earlier mockups featured orange hints, leaning into the Jordan 3 "Fear" vibe, which makes sense for a Halloween sneaker. But these official pairs feel more cool than spooky.
Then again, horror movies are comforting to me so that I may be a bit biased in the "scary" department.
Regardless, it's undoubtedly another clean colorway for the Jordan 5 collection, which recently welcomed the "White Metallic Silver" and "Wolf Grey" back into the family.
The "Halloween" Jordan 5s are expected to drop on Nike's website in October, naturally helping kick off the season of all things spooky.
