Thank Kallmeyer for the season's most stylishly luxe Nike tennis sneaker.

The New York womenswear label designed its own Nike Tennis Centre, a Swoosh spin-off of the Jordan Centre. Kallmeyer made the relatively quiet court shoe even more minimalist, with cleaner stitching and added luxury touches.

It basically treated the Nike newbie sneaker like one of its in-line pieces.

The results? The collaborative Tennis Centre lands with velvety suede uppers, a supple unstructured tongue, and brass branding. Oh, and it's all realized in the brand's signature light beige color called Travertine.

Kallmeyer's first Nike sneaker being a tennis model may seem a little odd at first, but it actually makes sense. Walk with me.

See, designer Daniella Kallmeyer may not be in the sportswear business, but her brand has long been connected to the athletic world without even realizing it. WNBA coaches and athletes, as well as tennis stars, have worn Kallmeyer. The brand's Nike campaign even stars tennis player Amanda Anisimova.

So, it's all kind of full circle.

Kallmeyer's Nike collaboration was naturally tied to the US Open, which officially wrapped on September 13. However, Kallmeyer and Nike still have their Tennis Centre to deliver.

The sleek collaborative sneaker is slated to release on September 15 on Nike's SNKRS app for $260.
