As many are already excited for the impending Bill & Ted threequel, Bill & Ted Face the Music, the cast just received an upgrade as Deadline reports that Kid Cudi will be joining Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in the anticipated film. For now, Cudi's role in the movie remains under wraps, but expect to hear more as we draw closer to next year's premiere.

Bill & Ted Face the Music will follow middle-aged versions of Bill and Ted as they set out on a new adventure to save life as we know it. According to a visitor from the future, one of their songs has the power to bring harmony to the universe.

While Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as Bill and Ted, William Sadler, Samara Weaving, and Brigette Lundy-Paine also star in the movie. Dean Parisot has been tasked with directing Bill & Ted Face the Music, while the screenplay comes courtesy of franchise writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.

Kid Cudi has bolstered his acting credits in recent years, having featured in Entourage, How to Make It in America, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Need for Speed, among other projects.
