Today, July 8, is the day every sneaker collector has been waiting for — the Jordan Brand x Dior collaboration is finally here, following the raffle for the sneakers last week.

To celebrate the launch, Dior has produced a short video that focuses on Kim Jones and the design process and inspirations of the Dior x Nike Air Jordan 1. Jones goes through his personal collection of Jordans and explains why the Dior 1s ended up looking the way they do.

The video also gives insight into why the pieces for the apparel collection were chosen and how Michael Jordan’s on- and off-court style directly influenced the entire capsule. Watch it below.

In addition to the video, Dior has released a short video of Travis Scott — Jordan Brand’s biggest ambassador and the face of the Dior capsule — set to the rapper’s “Highest In The Room” song.

Kim Jones tells Highsnobiety, “I love Travis he’s always pushing things forward in a way that looks effortless and I appreciate his kindness and support on the projects we work on.”
