Double Tap to Zoom

As we roll into the very final month of the year, there’s nothing like a bit of festive cheer and coming together for the holiday season. As an ode to this topic of togetherness, German fashion house MCM has just released its warming 2021 campaign featuring a diverse group of global creators as they gather for a fête of playful celebrations.

TikTok entrepreneur Josh Richards, Gossip Girl actress Savannah Lee Smith, and Japanese-American model Mona Matsuoka are a few of the young talents who star in the brand’s festive campaign. MCM is keen to highlight the fact that we can now all reunite in person as we prepare to celebrate with our loved ones, unlike last year, where the only way we were all in one room was through Zoom. Streaked with a bit of lightheartedness and optimistic energy, MCM wants to showcase the magic of human connection and shared experiences.

With 2021 marking its 45th-anniversary, MCM reinterpreted its iconic house code by unveiling its fresh Cubic Monogram, which makes a prominent cameo in this end-of-year campaign. Conceptualized by Global Creative Officer Dirk Schönberger, the Cubic insignia lends itself to a more radical and bold aesthetic. Almost like an optical illusion, the garment design blurs the lines between beginning and end — nodding towards MCM’s play on the concept and passing of time. Arriving in different colorways, textures, and materials, the Cubic Monogram pairs perfectly with the excitement leading up to this holiday season.

The complete Cubic collection is available now in stores and online here.
