Condensing the rich, sprawling history of New York's club music (in many ways the progenitor of just about every tangential subgenre of dance music) has been the goal of DJs and megamixes for years. Few come close to producing a singular work capable of reflecting even a shred of this musical hodge-podge. Leave it to Miss Sabado, a DJ/producer turned solo artist, to utterly knock it out of the park with her debut single.

"Rendezvous" is nothing short of an eight-minute odyssey through the most kinetic sonic touchpoints of decades of club music that still feels wholly futuristic in its approach. Make no mistake, the world of the club is at the forefront of Miss Sabado's intentions with the track, particularly how it has evolved and how it can go forward. Speaking on her inspirations, Sabado told Highsnobiety in an email that "Nobody knows how to party anymore. People get so fucked up like it’s their last night on earth and they lose all connection to sense of self. Can’t we go back to the days of partying with a little more intention and class? Elevating to a higher state of consciousness to connect rather than disconnect."
