You know that dated fashion adage that claims you should never mix prints? Yeah, Vans doesn't subscribe to that. Such could likely already be assumed, but if there was even a shadow of a doubt, let this multi-patterned Vans Half Cab sneaker serve as definitive proof.

Motherlan's Half Cab Vans sneaker has a whole lot going on. In the best way possible, of course.

The shoe’s upper features a swarm of patchwork-style patterns, including cowhide, pixilated camo, and real tree markings throughout. Clashing doesn't exist for the pure of heart. Or the extremely well-dressed.

But it's not just multi-printed, the Motherlan Half Cab, available on the Vans website for $150, is also multi-textured, weaving in swaths of pony hair, ripstop, and suede atop a shiny base.

Motherlan keeps the gaudy good times rolling with cathedral-esque insoles, made of Vans' cushy Sola foam.

Very bold, very kitschy, and very intentional, as evidenced by the Nigerian flag tab at the heel, which sits above a glossy Motherlan embossment.

Motherlan is a Nigerian streetwear brand that pools influence from Lagos' undersung skateboarding scene, and this has unfurled beautifully across the equally underrated Vans' Half Cab sneaker, which is really starting to hit its stride as of late.

Sure, the mid-top shredder hasn't reached Authentic status just yet, but with rich collabs like this one on the dockett, it's surely on its way.
