The New Balance 327 is surely one of the most successful new silhouettes in recent years. The retro runner arrived at the perfect time. Vintage sneaker silhouettes began picking up steam in sneakerhead circles as a reaction to the unsustainable pace of new, louder-than-the-last releases. And, almost as if it were planned, New Balance dropped the New Balance 327: a lightweight, stripped-back runner with serious retro credentials.

Keeping the ball rolling with clever collabs helped the silhouette along the way, too. Working with names like Aries and, most notably, Casablanca, New Balance effectively strapped a turbocharger to the side of the 327, rocketing it to the front of the pack in 2021. We don’t see any slowing down in sight, either, as New Balance releases a range of fire new colorways for the silhouette.

Ranging from pared-back neutral hues to louder, multicolor iterations, the new 327 palettes show the versatility of the silhouette. While all of them catch eyes, a couple in particular caught our attention. The New Balance MS327 LG1 in Varsity Green is a bold runner to see you through fall in retro style while the WS327 WR1 comes with a washed-out upper and leather logo detailing.
