Nike’s Weatherized Forces Bring the Thunder During a Winter Storm
The forecast calls for rain? Fine, Nike's waterproof Air Force 1 Low sneakers will bring the thunder in "Thunder Blue," at that.
One of the great things about Nike's winterized Forces — besides the fact that it features both GORE-TEX and Vibram — is its killer colorways. And this season promises a satisfying "Thunder Blue" pair, flooded out in this nice dark blue.
But it's not all blue. There are small but important pops of yellow, mostly badges reminding us these Nikes are waterproof and carry some seriously rugged soles. (cough, the GORE-TEX and Vibram, cough).
Nike's collection of winter-ready shoes has grown tremendously since the last cold season. The Air Force 1 side, in particular, has since welcomed new colorways like "Thunder Blue" and "Baroque Brown." Nike also debuted the winterized Air Force 1 Mid.
It's still relatively early in the season, and Nike has already released so many fire winter stompers. It makes me wonder what else the brand has up its sleeve.
In the meantime, Nike's Air Force 1 GORE-TEX Vibram "Thunder Blue" sneakers are now available at some overseas Nike stores. Nike Singapore sells them on its website for S$259, about $202 at current exchange rates.
