We don't often hear "beach" and "streetwear" in the same sentence. However, Nike is bringing the unlikely pair together for some interesting takes on its classic sneakers.

The sportswear brand goes coastal with a few iconic models, starting with a wonderfully weird Air Force 1 Low sneaker.

Nike's Air Force 1 Low "Sea Glass" features a freaky TPU cage that completely drips out of the shoe and echoes a beach's pearly finds. Underneath the unique 3D detail, the sneaker presents classic white leather uppers and a platinum Swoosh.

Nike didn't stop there with the "sea glass" takeover. The brand made a whole pack of sneakers engulfed with the Swoosh "goo."

In addition to the AF1, Nike's Sea Glass pack includes the Cortez and the Dunk Low. Like the AF1, the other Nikes come wrapped up in that goo-like translucent material.

The Dunks and AF1s are undoubtedly the more striking pairs, entirely covered in the TPU component. However, it's worth noting that these are removable, evident with the hardware screwed into each sneaker.

TPU cages aren't exactly a new vibe for Nike's models. The material has been used before on the Jordan 4 RM and Air Max sneakers. But the Sea Glass pack's removable feature takes the style to a different (and weird girl) level.

Nike's Sea Glass sneakers weren't expected until the spring season. However, the collection's Air Force 1 Lows have already arrived at a few retailers like Sneaker Politics.

Now, all we have to do is decide how weird we're willing to get with these Nike kicks.
