Jordan Brand's annual holiday releases always offer another reason to get excited about the festive period, and this year is no different. For its Holiday 2020 capsule, Nike and Jordan have looked to the archives and revived elements and colorways of some seriously deep cut sneakers. One highlight of the 12-piece holiday capsule is the Nike Air Jordan 1 "Black Gold", which released November 30. However, you can still get your hands on a pair by scrolling down.

Delving into the vault, Nike has taken inspiration from an extremely-hard-to-find Friends and Family AJ1 from the '80s which got a wider release in 2003 as an Air Jordan 1 Mid. That AJ1 Mid, which also arrived in a similar black and gold, was one of the first to come dressed in glossy patent leather.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 "Black Gold" makes use of luxe-looking patent leather again, sticking with a gold Swoosh but bringing more of the shade via the shoe's ankle collars. The iconic Air Jordan wings emblem also sits at the ankle section in gold.

StockX market data shows that the Holiday 2020 Nike Air Jordan 1 "Black Gold" is currently attracting an average sale price of $227. The 52-week high price for the sneaker reached $749 on the platform.
