If there’s one thing Nike knows how to do, it’s collaboration. Sneaker after sneaker, it delivers standout silhouettes with big names attached and even bigger personalities to match.

For her debut Nike collaboration, visual artist Aya Brown wraps borough pride, childhood nostalgia, and a celebration of womanhood in a New York bow with this Atomic Green and Black Air Max 95.

Like all great collaborations, this one tells the story of an artist on the fringes. First released over thirty years ago, the Air Max 95 has long been a Brooklyn favorite, and sharing a birth year with the icon makes Brown’s ’95 collaboration all the more special.

A love letter to her creative journey and the conviction needed to pursue it, Brown pours her story into every detail, from the personalized shoe box and tissue paper to the university red aglets. It’s proof this isn’t just another sneaker collab, but a life’s work.

From Brooklyn streets to the global stage, it feels personal and proudly rooted in place.
