Editor’s Notes: Beginning in October, thousands of high school, university, and pro teams in Japan are now taking full advantage of Ekiden season, which consists of long-distance multistage running races. Ekiden is Japan's most watched sporting event, lasting through the new year. Nike has in turn created a new Zoom running pack featuring colorways inspired by the event's massive fandom.

The Ekiden Zoom Pack boasts five sneakers from the Nike Zoom family: the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%, Zoom Fly 3, Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2, Air Zoom Pegasus 36, and Zoom Rival Fly. The colorways reference the scaled teals of Japanese bullet trains, pointing to a nation on the move during the races' relay exchanges.

Nike is releasing the Ekiden Zoom Pack in Japan on December 3. A global launch will then take place January 2.
