With Cordura, Nike's Most Stylish Dad Shoe Is Nearly Indestructible
Nike's Zoom Vomero 5 sneaker is the brand's most stylish everyday sneaker. How to make it better? One word: Cordura.
The sportswear giant has applied the high-strength nylon fabric to many of its models, including the Dunk-ish C1TY sneakers and the P-6000 dad shoes. But this looks to be the Vomero's first Cordura moment.
Better late than never.
The Cordura fabric makes up the Vomero's underlays, making the shoe incredibly durable and tear-resistant. Elsewhere, the sneaker's signature Y2K-tech design takes over. That includes the Zoom Air cushioning underfoot.
What's more, Nike has dressed the toughened Vomero sneaker in this nice "College Grey/Baroque Brown" colorway. So, it still looks good even while flexing new Cordura muscles.
For those interested, the Cordura Zoom Vomero 5 sneakers are now available on Nike Korea's website for 229,000 won, or around $168.
Maybe next time we'll get a GORE-TEX Zoom Vomero 5. Then, again, we already got the water-repellent, hardy-soled Vomero Roam shoes.
