Situated in Quito, Ecuador, odD+ House by local firm odD+ was created to bring about a change of lifestyle for an elderly couple. Having lived in a rustic style home for over 30 years, they wanted a house that was both open and closed, with living areas centered around an open plan design, and private areas that offer secluded and intimate spaces. Finished in natural materials including steel columns, exposed concrete, locally-sourced stone and recycled wood, patterns feature heavily throughout the design, even carrying across to the waffle-hatched, curved concrete roof.
