Ridley Scott‘s original Alien is slated to return to theaters in October, allowing many of us to catch the iconic film on the big screen for the first time ever.

Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies, and 20th Century Fox have partnered to make the 40th anniversary event happen on three different days: Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 7 p.m. In addition to the movie, screenings will include commentary before and after the film from TCM Primetime host Ben Mankiewicz. A science fiction horror film, Alien released in 1979, directed by Ridley Scott and written by Dan O'Bannon. The movie centers around the crew of the commercial space tug "Nostromo" as they encounter the extraterrestrial Alien.
