Netflix just dropped the first trailer for its upcoming biopic on the life of Roxanne Shanté, a Queens rapper who rose to fame in the early ’80s when she was just 14-years-old.

Called Roxanne Roxanne, the film stars Chante Adams as Roxanne Shante, alongside Moonlight‘s Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali and Adam Horovitz from the Beastie Boys. The movie was produced by the same people behind Fruitvale Station and Dope, including Pharell Williams.

Roxanne Roxanne attracted attention at Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, while the lead Chante Adams won the Special Jury Prize for Breakout Performance.
