New York's Sies Marjan recently announced that it would be closing. The burgeoning label was launched in 2016, winning a CDFA Award for Emerging Talent and grew to be loved for its eye-catching color palette, signature gradient, and a fearlessness when it came to use of materials.

Due to financial conditions provoked by COVID-19, Sies Marjan closed its doors with immediate effect. While this information comes as a heavy blow to the world of fashion, and undoubtedly frightening news for many other young designers, founder Sander Lak remembers the label as “a dream come true,... whose legacy is not just in the clothes and collections but within each person who contributed along the way.”

It’s not all bad news, though, as you can still get your hands on Sies Marjan pieces while stocks last at various retailers. Unique and eye-catching, anything by this label is sure to become a coveted piece of fashion history, so take this final chance to let the bold, colorful world of Sies Marjan live on in your wardrobe.
