Before this particular battle was announced, DMX previously challenged JAY-Z to a Verzuz contest in May. "I rather go against my arch-nemesis," DMX explained, referencing JAY. However, fans were immediately pleased upon learning of the clash between X and Uncle Snoop.

More than 500,000 enthusiasts tuned in to witness Snoop and DMX go head-to-head, as the rap veterans unleashed hit after hit. Fans were blessed with classics like Snoop's “Gin & Juice,” “Nuthin But a ‘G’ Thang,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” while X came back with familiar favorites including “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” and “Party Up (Up in Here).”

Many fans took to Twitter to discuss the Verzuz battle, dubbing it the best in the series so far. You can watch Snoop Dogg and DMX rifle through their discographies below and then see the best Twitter reactions underneath.
