The transition from summer to fall may as well be known as the transition from sandals to socks and sandals. We know it, you know it, and Suicoke & Doublet certainly know it.

Suicoke has long been the first place to go for your year-round sandals fix, but add Doublet’s playful irreverence to the mix and you’ve got the viral sandal of the season. Landing in two colors, both of which are furry, the Suicoke x Doublet WAS-5abDB sandals are divisive to say the least.

The bolder of the two colorways is probably the Dalmation iteration. This animal-print sandal features a Dalmatian print throughout the calf-hair upper and detachable neoprene sock liner. Even the sole unit grabs attention with its overhanging foam midsole and small, Japanese-style jagged Vibram outsole pads to the forefoot and heel.

In some ways, the all-black version of the Suicoke x Doublet WAS-5abDB sandals is the less in-your-face, but the difference is minimal. While it’s black and therefore less of a head turner, closer inspection says that this is the more dramatic design with a full faux-fur upper.

Look, either way, if you’re sliding your foot into a neoprene sock liner when you’re putting your sandals on, your look is going to turn some heads. That’s exactly the point. Doublet’s archive is stacked with fun, teddy bear-themed twists on classic pieces like down jackets and beanies. Combine that sense of fun with Suicoke’s tried-and-tested functionality and you’re onto a winner when it comes to not taking fall too seriously.
