Editor’s Notes: Vans continues to reinvent its classic silhouettes by pushing the boundaries of its designs. The latest silhouette to undergo a transformation is the Old Skool, which sees its sleek profile get the deconstructed treatment.

Vans’ iconic jazz stripe is quite literally hanging by a thread, thanks to the absence of one seam, while the rest of the shoe features a number of deconstruction-themed details. A large heel tab encourages the wearer to “Please Tear Here” and the exposed foam on the ankle collar is a detail we’ve seen before on less traditional kicks like these, most notably Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1.

Though the Vans Old Skool LX originally released on March 1, the deconstructed sneaker has now landed at Montreal-based luxury retailer SSENSE. Available in red, black, white, and blue colorways, the sneaker is retailing at just 90 bucks.
