Vans was feeling froggy. So, it leaped and made an amphibious Authentic skate shoe.

The newest Authentic is another OTW model, meaning it features high-end construction. The brand keeps its promise, wrapping the uppers in hairy suede. The sneaker also has siped Vibram soles, which essentially provide top-tier traction even on the wettest surfaces (siping helps keep the water out).

In addition to a crisp leather collar, Vans has also added patterned touches which mimic the look (and perhaps even the feel) of pebbly frog skin. After all, its color name is "Amphibian Deep Indigo."

Vans has introduced a few Siped Vibram skate shoes in the last year or so, including preppy brogue versions, pairs dressed in HAVEN clothes, and even moccasin-style renditions.

But never a rugged OTW skate shoe that's part frog. Well, now ya have it.
