This week Volkswagen introduces its new pure electric vehicle, the ID.3, featuring zero local emissions, outstanding efficiency, and full connectivity. According to the manufacturer the ID.3 is the symbol of a new era for the brand, boasting the all-new Volkswagen logo.

“The ID.3 is an all-rounder that is suitable for everyday use," says Silke Bagschik, Head of Sales and Marketing for the ID. family. "It is compact, as such offering the maneuverability of a small car with the interior space of a mid-range vehicle. It combines exciting design with innovative technology and significant range.”

The ID.3 is the first model from Volkswagen's ID. series. As with all ID. vehicles, the ID.3 is based on a new modular electric drive matrix, designed for an electric drive system.

Thanks to the long wheelbase of the MEB layout, as well as the short overhangs, the five-seater vehicle has a noticeably spacious interior. The ID.3 features a new digital display in the cockpit, in addition to a centrally positioned ten-inch touch display providing the driver with key information. The majority of the controls in the car are operated using touch functions featuring touch-sensitive buttons, while the electric windows and hazard warning lights have tactile switches.

The ID.3 will be available with three battery size options: 45 kWh with an electrically powered range of up to 330 kilometers, 58 kW with a range of up to 420 km, and 77 kWh with a range of up to 550 km. With fast charging you can charge the vehicle for a range of approximately 290 kilometers in 30 minutes.
