We've met the ASICS GT-2160 dad sneaker. But the GT-2160 sandal is a breath of fresh air. Really, it's a breeze.

ASICS' GT-2160 Breeze is basically the sandal version of the original technical sneaker, which was everywhere in 2023.

Indeed, the GT-2160 sneaker arrived at the peak of the ASICS mania, receiving spins from streetwear favorites like Gallery Dept. and Above the Clouds. Believe it or not, before its sandal era, Cecilie Bahnsen even turned the model into a floral Mary Jane sneaker.

The Breeze maintains the general techy vibe of the GT-2160 sneaker, but in summer mode (outdoor mode, too). It features cutouts on the uppers, as well as oval-net mesh moments, which makes it even more breathable and therefore perfect for the hot weather. At the same time, ASICS has decked out the Breeze with plenty of practical trail-flavored touches, including easy-to-adjust shoelaces and pull tabs.

Technically, the ASICS GT-2160 Breeze already dropped. It officially debuted in the summer of 2025. However, ASICS has introduced fresh flavors for 2026, including a "Cream/Pure Silver" and "Piedmont Grey" pair. Both are now available on ASICS Australia's website for around $130.

And it's not the only sneaker-sandal feeling the breeze. Both New Balance and HOKA have their own dad sandal models, coincidentally named Breeze.

It's really just more "snandals" to enjoy.
