In 2015, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA announced he was directing a film starring Azealia Banks and Common. The full-length feature musical drama, called Love Beats Rhymes and originally titled Coco, will be released digitally and in select theatres December 1.

Love Beats Rhymes will be in Select Theaters, on Digital and On Demand December 1. Available on DVD January 2.

The film tells the story of a female rapper who becomes interested in slam poetry after signing up for a college poetry course. Jill Scott, Lucien Laviscount, and Hana Mae Lee are among other members of the cast. Watch the trailer below.

Azealia Banks is currently on a North American tour throughout October. Her most recent album was Slay-Z, released last year.
