Maison Margiela’s AW21 collection is indicative of the times, largely drawing from the chaotic nature much of the world has been subjected to in recent months and years. At the forefront, the seasonal assortment includes traditional pieces with iconic parts noticeably altered to deliver reborn styles for a transformed wardrobe. Garments like the burgundy jacket you see here are a continuation of the luxury fashion house’s “Memory of” concept pertaining to raw edges. Made from 100% polyamide, the outerwear style is outfitted with a contrasting “Memory of” patch pocket at the front, serving as the standout design detail. Elsewhere, we see an elongated collar as well as straps on the cuffs, as the jacket is subtly branded with Margiela’s signature four-stitches moniker.
