To reinvent the wheel would, certainly, be a waste of time. But reinventing the simple black boot? We’d argue that this is well worth it.

Guillermo Andrade’s 424 imprint has always managed to forge its own route. Coming up in the LA streetwear scene, the label returns each season with a more refined, more adventurous take on its core values of rebellious creativity.

One of the standout aspects of the FW22 collection is the 424 Marathon Boots.

With the traditional work-boot silhouette as its base — one that has stood the test of time in many forms from Timberland through to luxury editions — the 424 Marathon Boot exhibits Andrade’s willingness to experiment. It boasts the kind of raw energy that much of 424's footwear offering does, seemingly taken straight from concept stage to retail.

Defined by its ruffled elastane upper wrap, the Marathon Boots are sleek and punchy. But, despite the style-centric elastane-wrapped upper and midsole, this pair doesn’t forget its functional roots, built on a Vibram sole unit. They’ll still stomp through uncertain terrain with no questions asked.
