adidas' most minimalist sneaker has unleashed the beast. Release the croc Stan Smiths!

The brand has done a few croc Superstars here recently, including a super-luxurious collaboration with Wales Bonner. But croc Stans? It's been a while.

The German sportswear brand makes the most of this rare moment, dressing the classic court shoe in leather uppers with a crocodile skin finish. It also features buttery leather heel tabs, the signature Three Stripe perforations, and a golden nameplate on the sidewall.

It's beastly in the most luxe way.

adidas has designed two of these croc Stan Smiths, one in the classic white/green and the other in off-white and maroon. They're both now up for grabs on SVD's website for $165.

The Stan Smith continues to venture beyond its natural habitat, having stepped into dress-shoe territory and even the ballet space.

Now, with croc uppers, it's the freshest stepper coming out of the swamp.
