The adidas Superstar is cosplaying as a dress shoe again.

This is not another CLOT x adidas design. The latest effort is actually an adidas Superstar Lux, the brand's own classy take on the icon.

It doesn't go full prom mode like the CLOT collab. But it offers just enough class and elegance.

Like other Superstar Lux sneakers, the newest pair keeps up the tradition of better-than-your-average materials and touches. But this particular "Core Black" pair might be the most luxe of all the Lux steppers.

It arrives with quality leather uppers and interiors, with the creamy material topping signature details like the shell toe box.

Underfoot, adidas has slapped on a new sole unit, one borrowed from classic work boots. It gives the Superstar a slight rugged feel, but, in all honesty, the latest addition only makes it look more sophisticated.

(But if you're in the mood for a Superstar boot, adidas has you covered)

For those looking for formal-ish leather sneakers, the Superstar Lux is now up for grabs on adidas Japan's website for ¥25,300, or around $160. And with the way dressy kicks have taken over the game, it's no surprise to see that these slick adidas shoes are almost sold out.

The adidas Superstar has enjoyed a pretty expensive lifestyle here lately, having landed at the center of luxury brand collabs and enjoyed several high-end spins from adidas itself.

It's truly the face of adidas luxury. It's low-key the star of its dress shoe era, too.
