What We’re Saying: Kiko Kostadinov's collaborative line with ASICS may have run its course, but the designer's influence continues to be felt. Today, the brand's SportStyle line has launched a new silhouette curated by the Kiko Kostadinov Womenswear Studio, led by Laura and Deanna Fanning.

If the FB1-S GEL-PRELEUS looks familiar, it should, as the design is a continuation of one of ASICS' 2000s runners, the GEL-PRELEUS. The retro-futuristic silhouette is inspired by cloud-like free flowing movement, featuring multi-layered mesh and synthetic leather panelling on the upper. The materials, which are moulded to evoke femininity, converge in a dynamic curving pattern designed to accentuate the side of the shoe. Below, you will find the brand's signature GEL technology in the sole, giving it a distinctive look that references the nonchalant nature of an amoeba.

“The inferred speed from the dynamic curved line in side profile and tooling inspired us to facilitate the development of this archive style for women," said Laura and Deanna Fanning. "The GEL-PRELEUS offers depth and height in the arch of the heel that was a great contrast in consideration of the diversity of ASICS Styles for women.”

Debuting in two colorways of "Metropolis/Carrier Grey" and "Pink Rave/Olive Canvas," the FB1-S GEL-PRELEUS is available from today at ASICS stores and online.
