AURALEE

After debuting the shoe at Paris Fashion Week, the time has finally come for AURALEE to release its minimal New Balance 550. The collaboration is the latest in an ever-growing line of projects starring the revitalized silhouette, which was brought back last year with the help of Aimé Leon Dore. Since then, the '80s basketball model has had other collaborative partners, while simultaneously arriving in general release colorways.

AURALEE's New Balance 550 collab was originally featured in a roundup with other new sneakers including the Nike SB Dunk High "Hawaii," atmos x adidas Superstar “Mt.Fuji,” BAPE STA "Pastel" and "Gingham," and PENSOLE Design Academy x ASICS GEL-MIQRUM.

Read on to get the latest info about the AURALEE x New Balance 550 and more.

Editor’s Notes: AURALEE's version of the 550 is as elegant as they come, as the basketball oxford boasts a monochromatic look crafted from high quality leather. Adding to the overall minimalist theme, the shoe's thick cushioned tongue features a plain piece of leather in place of the usual basketball logo. As the Japanese brand points out, the collaborative 550 is a classic yet fresh style designed for everyday wear.
