Spring has arrived, and so AURALEE and New Balance have sprung a fresh batch of sneakers on us for the season. Thank you, shoe gods.

AURALEE and New Balance advance their beautiful relationship with a drop-off of collaborative WRPD Runner sneakers, finally arriving nearly a year after their runway moment.

The AURALEE hive may remember the brand's chunky runners from its Spring/Summer 2024 presentation in June 2023. The thick-based sneakers puzzled sneakerheads when they hit the runway, showcasing a new New Balance design (that also felt...familiar). AURALEE later confirmed the mystery shoe's name: the WRPD Runner.

AURALEE's New Balance WRPD Runner comes to us in two nice tonal colorways: navy blue and a sort of off-white. These minimalist paint jobs — classic AURALEE, by the way — top noteworthy constructions and details, such as the texture-abundant upper and the distinct "warped" outsole packed with tread.

The WRPD Runner is a charming marriage of nostalgia and innovation. Drawing inspiration from archival New Balance runners, it wraps these nods in a sleek, futuristic design.

The shoe's standout feature is the big sole pumped with New Balance's revolutionary FuelCell material, promising a blend of durability and comfort during a lengthy run or walk.

Following the general release of the New Balance WRPD Runner, the time has finally come to receive AURALEE's gorgeous collaboration. Mark your calendars and set your alarms for April 18 when the platformed pairs land at New Balance and AURALEE's websites and stores.

AURALEE and New Balance together is a beautiful thing with nice shoes often included. After the creamy 2002Rs and 1906s, the two minds don't seem to be stopping or slowing their sneaker deliveries any time soon.
