Avril Lavigne and Tyga are angling to unseat Rihanna and A$AP Rocky as fashion's most coordinated couple. After going public with their fledgling relationship at Paris Fashion Week, the pop-punk princess and "Rack City" rapper did date night in matching, all-black 'fits.

Staying true to her mall goth roots, Lavigne paired a cropped hoodie with baggy cargo pants and skate-shoe-adjacent kicks. A croc-embossed handbag and $80K diamond "AVRIL" chain — apparently, a gift from Tyga — kept the 'fit from verging too far into Hot Topic territory.

Tyga, on the other hand, donned a nylon Prada tracksuit (perhaps he's been taking style notes from Highsnobiety cover star Central Cee?) and black running shoes.

While the rapper isn't exactly known for his fashion sense, Tyga has stepped up his style game since stepping out with Avril. In Paris, he and Lavigne twinned in black leather coats while seated next to each other at the Y/Project show. And at Givenchy, the 33-year-old wore another all-black ensemble: a shearling coat and shiny, zipper-accented pants. (Tyga's penchant for fashion's favorite color — or lack thereof — fits pretty conveniently with Lavigne's aesthetic.)

The couple's recent outing comes shortly after Lavigne's Juno Awards speech made headlines, thanks to an interruption by a topless protestor decrying a housing development plan that would encroach on Toronto's Greenbelt, a protected green space.

The Ontario native wasn't having any of it, demanding that the streaker "get the fuck off" the stage.

We can't blame her for not wanting to share the spotlight: Avril is the self-proclaimed "motherfucking princess," after all. It's too early to say if she's found her prince in Tyga, but she certainly has met her sartorial match.
