If you've seen The Last Dance, you'll be well aware that Michael Jordan had more than a few off-court style moments that matched the mind-boggling levels of his on-court feats. As well as the ridiculously huge denim pants and velvet blazers, though, were some actual good looks.

In episode one of the Netflix series, the basketball legend takes a trip to Paris for a pre-season tournament. In true MJ style, he sports a beret in an apparent homage to the French capital.  He paired the iconic headwear item with a black turtleneck and gray suit, complete with the customary massive trousers. And unlike many of his wardrobe choices, this one had us inspired.

Jordan is by no means the only reason to shop the enduring beret, either. It's been around long enough to cement itself as an enduring stylistic presence. One could even go as far as to argue that it is as iconic and lasting as the white T-shirt or grey hoodie. And though it has perhaps never really attracted the levels of hype key to contemporary “trends,”  the beret continues to live on as an indispensable addition to headwear rotations.

Whether you're preparing your next MJ-inspired wardrobe move, or you want to show love to this oft-overlooked member of the headwear family, you'll find berets suitable for doing both, below.

So, without further ado, shop a list of the best berets to buy in 2020 below.
