Double Tap to Zoom

The parodox of the fragrance industry is that, despite there being countless options available, somehow, everyone seems to end up smelling the same. Case in point: Paco Rabanne's "1 Million" or "Diesel: Only the Brave" (which was inexplicably shaped like a fist).

We've perused the web for six less clichéd summer-ready fragrances that will add another level of depth to your personal style and look great on your bathroom shelf. And why not? Now's a better time than most for scent experiment.

Scroll on for our favorite summer fragrances.

Chanel Allure Homme Sport

Looks like: The metallic bottle lends itself to a very masculine design with a dab of Chanel branding on the cap.

Smells like: Appropriately, it's rather masc. Woody, spicy, and with base notes of white musk.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Club

Looks like: Money.

Smells like: Springtime. You can expect top notes of lemon, mandarin, mint, and neroli for a fresh and uplifting scent.

Cultus Artem Ilex Eau de Parfum

Looks like: A fancy beach hut you might find on some luxury resort?

Smells like: Seduction. This Ilex scent is packed with smokey notes of sambac jasmine and a hit of sweet citrus.

Hermès L'Ombre des Merveilles Eau de Parfum

Looks like: The sky at about 5.00 p.m. on a summer afternoon.

Smells like: Something delicious you could even drink. Top notes of black tea, middle notes of incense, and tonka bean at the base.

Bottega Veneta Parco Palladiano 2 Cipresso

Looks like: This bottle design appears to be inspired from the brand's signature intrecciato weave technique.

Smells like: A good time, honestly. This scent has pink pepper and amberwood up top along with guaiac wood and patchouli on the base.

Diptyque Essences Insensees Eau de Parfum

Looks like: Old glamour meets new Hollywood.

Smells like: Vanilla, spice, frangipani, and the scent of the tiare flower harvested on the island of Tahiti.
