SS20 Collections Are Arriving & Here's What We're Shopping First
Though are recent attention may have been on the Fall/Winter 2020 shows that have just taken place around the world, but when it comes to shopping for the here and now, it's all about SS20 collections.
It was back in June last year when we first set eyes on the latest Spring/Summer outputs of the likes of Prada, Jil Sander, and Loewe, and that eight-month wait has been pretty excruciating at times. Now that it's thankfully over, we've picked out some of the best SS20 pieces from our favorite luxury labels, including the aforementioned names and more, all of which can be shopped at MATCHESFASHION now.
Check out the best of the just-arrived SS20 collections at MATCHESFASHION.
Jacquemus Cuban Collar Shirt
No one did their Spring/Summer 2020 show quite as season-appropriately as Simon Porte Jacquemus. And against the stunning backdrop of the Provence countryside, the designer debuted garments that were just as ready for the weather. An example? This Cuban-collar shirt.
Y/Project Cowboy Jeans
Though not for the first time, the cowboy look is back. Drawing inspiration from American, the Y/Project SS20 show, which took place in Paris last year, gave us these pants to help get the look.
Casablanca Denim Jacket
This wild graphic jacket was part of a double denim ensemble when it hit the runway of the Casablanca show. Go for the full set if you're brave, or use it as a statement piece in an otherwise more minimal wardrobe.
Jil Sander Embroidered Overshirt
Luke and Lucy Meier, the husband and wife team at the creative helm of Jil Sander, took things in an uncharacteristically wider color direction for SS20. This overshirt, in which the brand's Bauhaus influences are visible, adds yellow and tan to the monochrome.
Prada Leather Boots
Prada took us to Shanghai for the first time for its Spring/Summer 2020 Menswear collection, and sartorially speaking, the Italian fashion house took us to the mountains. Alongside pocket-heavy outdoor wear jackets were hike-ready boots like these.
Raf Simons Derby Shoes
Unlike the Prada stompers, these Derby shoes by Raf Simons certainly aren't ready for a hike. This exaggerated-tongued version of a classic comes in a slick black leather and embossed with an expert of a Peter de Potter poem.
Loewe Belt bag
Making use of Loewe's rich history of fabric expertise, having been established in 1876, this black belt bag is a modern piece of craftsmanship.
Fendi Sleeveless Sweater
Didn't you hear? The sweater vest is making a comeback. And while FW20 shows, including that of Prada and Gucci, had several of them on display, this piece by Fendi will let you get ahead.
Maison Margiela Wool-Blend Jacket
Putting Maison Margiela's signature tailoring on display, this piece from the house that Martin built features exposed seam work is a perfect shade for times of transition.
Prada Nylon Jacket
Another piece from Prada's standout Shanghai show, Miuccia's color-block jackets have been seen on the likes of A$AP Rocky. A worthy investment if you're able to.
