As if you need telling — buying brand new clothing and accessories just isn't sustainable. For the uninitiated, fashion is the second most polluting industry in the world, right after oil. Thankfully, the fashion industry is taking notice, and a growing number of brands are repurposing old fabrics and materials, as well as taking measures such as using organic dyes during the coloring process to reduce their impact.

With many of us wanting to make a difference, but only some brands answering the call, shopping for conscious fashion may prove to be a bit overwhelming. We've recently brought you some of our favorite sustainable clothing, and we're now shining a light on conscious accessories.

Our sustainable highlights include a pair of Marine Serre moon-printed gloves, which are made from repurposed fabrics and arrive with a reflective finish. Meanwhile, those who love a good bucket hat but also care for the planet shouldn't look further than Story Mfg's piece, crafted from organic cotton and made using plant-based dyes.
